Memorial 56

Memorial 56

Walking in a park near my home, I noticed a memorial bench with offerings of flowers, balloons, and other items. Across the sidewalk was a tree festooned with cutouts and this flower.

I grabbed the image with my phone and have been working on this painting for a few weeks. I think it’s about done.

The Amazing Invisible Baby

The Amazing Invisible Baby

My latest painting after a hiatus spent doing mono prints. Captured image when walking the dog east of Main Street.

I had a lot of fun doing the leaves, then worked up the stroller and fence.

Psycho Rushmore

Psycho Mt Rushmore

Last Friday’s Longmont Second Friday Art night was a lot of fun. The Firehouse was packed, and much of the overflow found their way upstairs to my studio.

A few visitors commented that “Quote the Raven..” reminded them of Hitchcock, and Ron Galegos mentioned Mt Rushmore (from North by Northwest).

The proverbial light bulb went off over my head, and I started mixing and matching imagery. The result is the mono print above, acrylic paint on 300 lb. Arches watercolor paper.
