Out of Africa

16 01 2012

I worked on the portrait of my sister, Pat, today, while talking to her on the phone.  She had been on a trip to Africa, and was telling me about her adventures.

I did a major color switch on the background.  I wanted to go cool with it, replacing the warm orangey yellow that had been there.

I think it’s the right track.  I want to buffer down the blueness on the next pass.  It’s too strong.

Here’s my current favorite CD.

Love the loose mixture of the complementary colors. Does work well.
